This combination gives you the instruction, practice, and feedback you need to teach Fundations with fidelity and confidence. Fundations is offered in Prevention (Tier 1) and Early Intervention (Tier 2) settings. Professional Development is designed for each setting.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
Wilson Fundations Level Workshop
This full-day workshop provides the practice and guidance needed to effectively begin teaching the Fundations curriculum. At the completion of the program, attendees will be able to:
- Identify the skills and components of effective reading and spelling instruction
- Recognize how Fundations materials facilitate multisensory, interactive learning
- Practice the Fundations Activities for a particular Fundations Level
- Optimize the use of the Fundations Manual
- Determine the weekly schedule and prepare a lesson plan
Prerequisite: None
Duration: One day
Fundations Intervention and Progress Monitoring Workshop
This full-day workshop focuses on skills, materials, activities, and lesson planning of the Fundations Double Dose Lesson and how the Fundations Curriculum Based Measurement tool is used to monitor progress.
Prerequisite: Completion of the Fundations Level Workshop
Recommended: At least one year of experience using Fundations
Duration: One day
Coaching Visits*
Coaching Visits enable teachers currently implementing Fundations to fine-tune procedures,
discuss challenges, and review effective instructional skills.
Duration: four days
*Currently offered to school districts only.
Wilson Fluency ® / Basic Workshop
This full-day workshop reviews the principles of automaticity and fluency instruction. The workshop provides hands on practice with the Wilson Fluency / Basic program. The program can be used to support Fundations students in need of additional practice with short vowels, and the instruction can be included in Double Dose groups.
